Week 15 NFL open thread: Draft picks!

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

With the Eagles having played on Thursday, we'll be spared their weekly comedy act today. All we will have to watch, at least as far as the Eagles are concern, is the draft scenarios. So here's what to watch for.

The big one is KC vs Oakland, 2 teams ahead of the Eagles, play another this afternoon in Oakland. Really, any outcome is decent for the Eagles, but there's 2 ways to look at it. A Chiefs win would mean the Eagles have an actual shot at the top pick, but a Raiders win would ensure that the Eagles jump up to #3.

The Jaguars are in Miami, which I suppose is something resembling "winnable" for them. They'll face the Pats in week 16 and the Titans in week 17.

As for other teams in the hunt for top 5 picks, the Panthers are in San Diego, the Titans host the Jets on Monday Night Football (seriously), and the Lions and Cardinals play one another.

Here's the official draft order if the season were to end today. Note that the Eagles have 10 losses, but would still have the #4 pick even with 9 losses due to strength of schedule.

1. Kansas City Chiefs (2-11)
2. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-11)
3. Oakland Raiders (3-10)
4. Philadelphia Eagles (4-10)
5. Carolina Panthers (4-9)
6. Tennessee Titans (4-9)
7. Detroit Lions (4-9)
8. Arizona Cardinals (4-9)
9. San Diego Chargers (5-8)
10. Cleveland Browns (5-8)
11. Buffalo Bills (5-8)
12. Miami Dolphins (5-8)
13. New Orleans Saints (5-8)
