CSNPhilly, citing 2 sources with knowledge of test results on Todd Herremans ankle, says that it's likely that the RT will be out for the season.
"It’s not good," a team official told Ruben Frank. "It doesn’t look good at all. We’re still waiting for [more test results], but it looks bad."
Andy Reid said today that the team was waiting to give more information on Herremans' status until after he has an MRI Wednesday. Obviously though, if the Eagles team official quoted in the story is right, the MRI will only serve to confirm what they already suspect, that the injury is serious.
Without Herremans, its not entirely clear what the Eagles will do on the offensive line. On Monday night, they brought in Demetress Bell at right tackle and he was a disaster. At this point, I suppose the likelihood is that he gets the start this weekend, but if Danny Watkins can get healthy maybe they try Dennis Kelly at RT?
Like I said in the Andy Reid post.. For the Eagles to get themselves into the playoffs, assuming it takes a 9 or 10 win record, they can only lose 1 or 2 more games at most. Is that possible with 4/5ths of their projected starting offensive line?
