There has been a call amongst Eagles fans to "let Vick be Vick." In other words, if you're going to roll with Michael Vick as your quarterback, then let him do the things that make him who he is. Don't try to force him into a system that doesn't highlight his talents.
Live by the Vick, die by the Vick if that's what it takes.
With his job on the line and his coach's job on the line, Vick is says he needs to get his swag back.
"I have to get my swag back," said Vick. "I have to go back to playing football the way I love to play it and not worry about what's going to happen because that's out of my control."
What exactly does that mean?
"I have to go play the game and leave it all on the field, and play aggressive, and shoot it and run the ball as I feel I need to. If I get a seam, get a crack [then] take it. Just do what I've been born [and] blessed to do and take advantage of my god-given abilities in conjunction with playing with everybody else.
He may not just be playing more like the old Michael Vick, he'll be looking more like him also.
"I'm ready to go. I put my shield back on my helmet. It's time to play ball."
Michael Vick has actually not worn his signature black shield this season. He wore a clear shield on his helmet against the Giants, but since then has gone without one.
