It looks like Dion Lewis will finally get the chance to play his way out of the dog house.
The inactives today are Trent Edwards, Riley Cooper, Chris Polk, Akeem Jordan, Nate Menkin, Steve Vallos, and Vinny Curry.
Lewis is active today for the first time this season, and the fact that he went to the University of Pittsburgh might have something to do with it. Andy Reid always makes sure his players that are having a "homecoming" of sorts gets a chance to play.
I'm surprised Cooper isn't active, as he is a strong special teams player- and part of the reason Polk kept dressing was because of his special teams play. But it looks like Mardy Gilyard earned himself playing time with his strong special teams game last week.
Another interesting note: With Steve Vallos out, the Eagles do not have a backup center if Dallas Reynolds were to go down.
Who will go in if that does happen? It looks like as of right now Evan Mathis will be the back up center.

[Note by JasonB, 10/07/12 11:42 AM EDT ] Few more roster notes. King Dunlap is active today, but Demetress Bell will start at LT. Colt Anderson is active and should be a boost to the kick coverage units. Jamar Chaney gets another start at WILL with Akeem Jordan out.
