Antonio Brown Calls Brandon Boykin "The Candy Bar"

Howard Smith-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The rivalry between the Eagles and the Steelers might not be what fans want it to be, but don't tell that to Pittsburgh wideout Antonio Brown.

Brown was asked on Wednesday about Eagles corner back Brandon Boykin, and did not hold back when talking about the rookie.

"That's the candy bar," said Brown via the Washington (Pa.) Observer-Reporter. "He's given up a lot of big plays. Whoever gets that guy definitely needs to take advantage."

Whether or not Brown has a point, the fact is that he just provided some big time bulletin board material for Boykin- and really the entire Eagles defense.

After strong games against Cleveland and Baltimore, teams have been going after Boykin more the last 2 weeks. The Cardinals went after Boykin 6 times, completing 5 catches for 63 yards. The Giants threw Boykins way 7 times, completing 4 of them for 48 yards and a touchdown.

Given Brown's statement, it's a safe bet that Boykin can expect a fair amount of action coming his way this weekend as well.
