According to NFL.com's Jason LaCanfora, there may soon be two coaching vacancies in Philadelphia. Offensive Coordinator Marty Mornhinweg is scheduled to meet with the Raiders front office this weekend and interview for their vacant head coach position.
It has been widely speculated that the Raiders new general manager, Reggie McKenzie, will try to bring in many of the folks he knew from his time in Green Bay as their director of football operations. Before he found his way to the Eagles, Mornhinweg worked with McKenzie as an offensive assistant and quarterbacks coach for the Packers from 1995-96, so the connection is clear.
If he wins the job, this will mark Mornhinweg's second stint as a head coach, following his ill-fated season with the Lions in 2001.
