The Eagles finished up their preseason with a 24-14 win over the New York Jets, improving their preseason record to 3-1. The only real news from this one was that Vince Young left the game with what looked like a fairly scary injury when it happened, but was diagnosed as a hamstring injury and doesn't appear serious. Young was going to get an easy first down on a 4th and short, and in fact he probably had a good chance to get in the end zone, but he pulled up when the hamstring pulled and tried an ugly throw as he fell down.
We'll have more on this game tomorrow, since I'm still re-watching it, but the "star" of the game had to be rookie RB Dion Lewis. He got 62 yards on 15 carries and a TD. He caught 3 passes for 38 yards and opened the game with a nice kickoff return. Lewis certainly made a statement that he could be a useful player this year.
