The Eagles have finally signed first round pick Danny Watkins to a four year deal. Watkins' deal means that the Eagles' entire 2011 draft class is officially signed and in camp. It's almost odd to even call Watkins absence a "holdout" given that he signed a contract less than a week after the NFL opened for business, but he has missed five days of camp. For a rookie, especially this year, missing any time isn't going to help, but as "holdouts" go, this one was pretty short and he should have plenty of time in camp to get his work in.

The wrangling over Watkins deal, which was negotiated by former Eagle Joe Panos by the way, was whether the team would fully guarantee the fourth year. Generally, the lower first round picks have been getting three years fully guaranteed while the top picks have been getting their full deal guarnateed. Not sure who got their way here, but at this point I'm not betting against the Banner/Roseman combo.
