Whether he's telling ex teammates from prison, on twitter or on the radio Plaxico Burress has been telling anyone who will listen that he'd like to play for the Philadelphia Eagles. The latest came today when Burress was a guest of 97.5 The Fanatic. He was asked about the possibility of him playing in Philadelphia.

"It's definitely attractive," he said. "I'm not going to sit here and say it's not. I mean I just look at the pieces to the puzzle that's already in place, and if I can just go out there and fill that void and just be that extra playmaker and go out and have a presence, have an impact, ya know, make the guys better around me, it's a great opportunity."

Further, he said that playing with Michael Vick would be a "dream come true."

"Oh, it would be a dream come true," he said. "I have a lot of respect for Mike, not just as a quarterback but as a person -- you know what he's overcome and what he's went through and just the way he bounced back. ...

"And for me and him to be able to play together ... you know we played against each other in high school, we're pretty much from the same area -- everybody back home would go absolutely bananas. And to just have me, him and DeSean (Jackson) and those guys lining up on the same offense on Sunday ... it would really be exciting."

We already knew that he was pals with Vick and he recently revealed that he's been hanging out with DeSean Jackson... So clearly there wouldn't be much trouble fitting him into the team from a personality standpoint. The question for the Eagles is simply about what they think he can do on the field and probably at what price will he sign? If he's willing to do a one year, "prove it" kind of deal, then I expect the Eagles would certainly be interested. Then again, the Eagles will have cap space to burn...

In a separate interview, Burress mentioned the possibility of playing for the Jets or Texans specifically. That's where the Drew Rosenhaus influence clearly showed itself. He knows that they are both teams that will likely be in the market for a complimentary WR, so you can be sure he told Burress to mention them.
