Eagles Timeline: 56 hours of Awesomesauce

For the sake of just putting this down on paper (or the Internets), let's just recount the last 56 hours so we don't lose track of all the wheelings and dealings of the Eagles' FO:

July 28, roughly 9:00am - Eagles sign Jason Babin - 58 tackles, 12.5 sacks, 2 FF playing in under 60% of the Titans' snaps last season.  LDE, done.  Next.

July 28, 2:45pm - Eagles trade Kevin Kolb for Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a 2nd round pick in 2012 - Heist.  RCB, filled.  And a high pick... for a player that if all goes well won't even play next season.  Next.

July 29, midnight-ish - Vince Young agrees to one year deal with Eagles - Man, that was a dicey 9 hours in which the Eagles didn't have the best backup QB in the NFL.  Next.

July 29, Roughly 6:00pm - Eagles sign Nnamdi Asomugha - Out of the clear blue sky, the Eagles sign either the 1a or 1b CB in the NFL.  Next.

July 30, 4:30pm - Eagles sign Cullen Jenkins - Again, out of the clear blue sky, the Eagles get themselves an excellent inside pass rusher.  But what to do with Brodrick Bunkley?  Next.

July 30, 5:00-ish - Eagles trade Brodrick Bunkley for a 5th round pick - By trading the suddenly expendable Bunkley, the Eagles save themselves $2 million in cap space, and add a 5th round pick.  The 5th round pick isn't that great, sure.  But that pick now gives the Eagles ELEVEN picks in the 2012 draft: 1, 2, 2 (Cards), 3, 4, 4 (Bucs), 5, 5 (Browns), 6, 6 (Broncos), 6 (Pats).

So that's where we stand.  And you know what?  I don't even think they're even close to being done.  NEXT!
