Michael Vick On How Plaxico Burress Could Fit In Philly

One of the most common questions that has come up in response to all the rumors about Plaxico Burress potentially coming to the Eagles is how he'd fit here? The Eagles already have DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin as the entrenched starters with Jason Avant doing a good job in the #3 spot. Stephen A. Smith asked that very question of Michael Vick.

"I mean you can never have enough weapons I think." Vick said, "Obviously we'll find a way to use them as well as the other 31 teams in this league who will be vouching to get him. I'm saying I wouldn't say no. I wasn't opposed to it. I would definitely open an invite if it was there and just see what happens. DeSean [Jackson] is a great player. He's a future Hall of Famer. Jeremy [Maclin] is a future Hall of Famer. Brent [Celek] as well, but we want to maximize our talent and I'm sure we'll find a way to use him. We have great, great, leaders. I also think he would be good for the young guys. We'll see what happens. It may happen. It may not."

While I'm not sure that Jackson, Maclin and Celek are all future hall of famers... Generally I do agree with Vick. If the Eagles think Burress is still capable of playing in the NFL, then I don't think the fact that they already have good WRs is that big a deal. Like Vick said, you find a way to fit him in.
