Watch out for you your heart strings, because we are going to be pulling them until they break with this next matchup. Remember The Titans easily moved on into the Final Four and today we learn its opponent.

#2 seed Rudy is a 1993 film which tells the story of Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger, who harbored dreams of playing football at the University of Notre Dame despite significant obstacles. It was the first movie which the Notre Dame administration allowed to be shot on campus since Knute Rockne, All American in 1940. It was also named as one of ESPN's 50 greatest sports films.

If 10 people were asked to name the first football movie that came to their mind, I'd bet that at least 7 of them would say Brian's Song, which is something considering that it was a made for TV movie. Like a lot of the movies in this tournament, this is an inspirational true story... but it might be more inspirational and more true than all. It is based on the real-life relationship between teammates Brian Piccolo and Gale Sayers and the bond established when Piccolo discovers that he is dying.
