Yesterday we had one of our closest matchups of the first round as "Varsity Blues" knocked off "The Express." That was a high school football movie knocking off a college football film. Today we've got two high school movies, one of which is yet another set in Texas. The other is in Pennsylvania. "Friday Night Lights" Vs "All The Right Moves." Two movies about high school football in economically depressed towns.
Friday Night Lights is based on H.G. Bissinger's book, which profiled the economically depressed town of Odessa, Texas and their heroic high school football team, The Permian High Panthers. By the way, we're talking about the movie here not the TV show.
All The Right Moves - A high school football player (Tom Cruise) desperate for a scholarship and his headstrong coach clash in a dying Pennsylvania steel town. Also nude Lea Thompson...
You can review the full bracket here. As usual we've got clips after the jump, including yet another rousing inspirational halftime speech!
