In our closest matchup of BGN's Greatest Football Movie Of All Time tournament by far, BGN won one for the Gipper and advanced Knute Rockne, All American past Everybody's All American by a vote of 52% to 47%. Today, we've got yet another Notre Dame football movie, which is yet again one of the classics. It will take on a TV movie starring Roseanne.

#2 seed Rudy is a 1993 film which tells the story of Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger, who harbored dreams of playing football at the University of Notre Dame despite significant obstacles. It was the first movie which the Notre Dame administration allowed to be shot on campus since Knute Rockne, All American in 1940. It was also named as one of ESPN's 50 greatest sports films.

#7 seed Backfield In Motion was a made for TV movie (so was Brian's Song) which followed Roseanne Barr trying to organize a Mother/Son football game when the local dads wouldn't allow her in the annual Father/Son game. Eventually she is able to organize her team of moms to face a team of their teenage sons. Hilarity ensues (really, it does).

Also, as I was searching for a good image to use for this post, it became apparent to me that a lot of porn movies also decided that "Backfield In Motion" would be a good title for a movie... From what I could tell though, none of those movies starred Roseanne.
