DeSean Jackson & Tra Thomas React To Juan Castillo Promotion

DeSean Jackson, who has apparently become a national hero after everyone saw the emotional scene where he surprised bullying victim Nadin Khoury on the View, was asked what we thought of the promotion of Juan Castillo to defensive coordinator. Needless to say, he was just as surprised as everyone else.

"Very shocked. I was like 'who? Oh Juan Castillo, ok' I know he's a great coach and he motivates his guys to go out there and give their best effort. He's very passionate and he's down to earth so I think it's going to work out good for us."

Former Eagle Tra Thomas, who played for Juan most of his career liked the move.

"From day one Juan has been outworking every coach there. Juan has an air mattress that's under his desk where he sleeps at that facility from Sunday to Thursday. He is always at the facility. You will never find another coach that is more dedicated to this organization and you will never find another coach that will outwork Juan Castillo."

Tra acknowledged that it won't be an easy transition for Juan, but again stressed his crazy work ethic that he feels will make it possible. He also spoke about what made Castillo so effective as an offensive line coach.

"You never have a question. When it comes to dealing with Juan, he will come with a gameplan and have answers to every question that you have. I've had the opportunity to go and be around other coaches and I think that's one of the problems I had with leaving this organization because dealing with a coach like Juan I never had any questions when it came to the gameplan. You were always over-prepared and that's what Juan is going to bring to the table."
