Our Superbowl of the greatest football movies ever continues with another first round matchup after Invincible trounced TGPFGKPP in the opening match. This time around we have the #4 seed North Dallas Forty vs #5 We Are Marshall. This is also our first pro vs college matchup.

North Dallas Forty is a 1979 film starring Nick Nolte. ESPN's "Reel Life" described it as "the movie version of an autobiographical novel written by former Dallas Cowboy receiver Pete Gent, came to the silver screen in 1979. The book had received much attention because it was excellent and because many thought the unflattering portrait of pro football, Dallas Cowboys-style, was fairly accurate."

We Are Marshall is a 2006 film starring Matthew McConaughey. The plot summary is "When a plane crash claims the lives of members of the Marshall University football team and some of its fans, the team's new coach and his surviving players try to keep the football program alive."
