Todd McShay Releases First Mock Draft Of The Year

ESPN's Todd McShay released his first 2012 mock draft of the year about five months before the actual draft is scheduled to take place. For the Eagles, his pick is pretty familiar.

Luke Kuechly*, ILB, Boston College

The Andy Reid regime in Philadelphia has not used a first-round pick on a linebacker in 13 years, but this might be the time. Kuechly is perhaps the most productive linebacker in the nation, using elite instincts and anticipation to mask a lack of ideal athletic ability.

As these mock drafts start to come out over the coming months, expect to see Kuechly's name in the Eagles spot quite a bit. Of course, that could change depending on whether the Eagles win or lose these last two games and could dramatically change should they sneak into the playoffs.
