Blame Andy Reid?

Hey guys, I frequent the site a lot and I don't post often, so bear with me on this rant here.  I'm thinking most of you feel the same way as I do, which is disgruntled, confused, upset, angry, and generally just mad at the world.  I cannot begin to describe how unbelievably furious I am, from the Ronnie Brown goaline try, to the play of the defense (again) to the missed field goals by Alex Henery.  Most of all, however, I am upset at Andy Reid.

Let me rephrase that.  I do not put this loss soley at the feet of Big Red, but I think it is now painfully obvious that it is his time to go.  I love Andy Reid, I think he is a fantastic coach.  I think that he has been great for the organization and is a smart guy.  But I think his time is finished in Philly.

The calls Andy has made this year, especially in the red zone, have simply baffled me.  Today it came to a boiling point. For a team as offensively loaded as the Eagles, and with the mobility of Mike Vick, this should not be a bad red zone team.  It comes down to the playcalling, most of which has been bad the last two seasons.  Take, for example, the Giants game last week.  How can you have three, count that, three tries from the 1 and not get in.  A good football team doesn't do that.  They just don't.

This isn't a good football team, not even close.  This a team which has an immense amount of talent until they have a short field.  This is a team that turns the ball over too much.  This is a team that cannot stop the run if their lives depended on it.  This is a 1-3 team.

You can't fire the team, but you can fire the coach.  I think it is hard for anyone argue why Andy should stay.  Maybe this is just the panic talking, but I really think it is time for him to go.  It really is.
