General Public Still Believes In The Eagles, Not The Redskins

The Eagles opened up this week as almost inexplicable favorites over the Redskins this week. You'll rarely see a 1-4 team be a favorite on the road against a 3-1 team in the NFL and yet, that's what we've got. In fact, the line has gone up in several sports books! It started out as a pick in some and is now as high as Eagles -2.

But why? Jay Kornegan of the Las Vegas Hilton says that people simply don't think the Eagles are as bad as they've looked and they just don't buy the Redskins yet.

"Even though the general public hasn't supported the Eagles over the last couple of weeks compared to the start of the season, most know they're still a very talented team," Kornegay said. "The Eagles are not getting beat up. They are self-destructing and that can be fixed. On the flip side of it, the Redskins are not perceived as a talented team. They are looked at as an overachiever."

Would you be willing to put your money on the Eagles winning by one or two points this week?
