2011 Senior Bowl: Eagles Meet With Stanford FB/LB Owen Marecic

Eagles fans are used to their team checking out so called "tweeners" in the draft, but not like this. Our man Alfie Crow, who is down at the Senior Bowl this week reported that the Eagles met with Stanford FB/LB Owen Marecic. Marecic played both fullback and middle linebacker averaging 110 plays per game and earning all PAC-10 honors at both positions. He was the winner of the 2010 Paul Honrung Award for the most versatile player in college football.

He's working on offense at the Senior Bowl, so it seems like RB/FB is his best shot at the NFL.

In a game against Notre Dame this season, Marecic actually scored a TD on offense and defense, the first player in over 4 years to do that in college football. The craziest thing? The TDs came 13 seconds apart.
