According to the players twitter, the Eagles have signed RB Joique Bell off of the Bills the practice squad. Bell was an undrafted rookie free agent this year out of Division 2 Wayne State who had a strong preseason for the Bills but got lost in their numbers game at RB behind C.J. Spiller, Fred Jackson, & Marshawn Lynch. He was cut after preseason and brought back to the Bills practice squad.
Over the first two preseason games Bell rushed 16 times for 122 yards and 2 TDs. He's got good size at 5-11, 220 as well. He drew praise from our Bills blogger for his preseason performance.
Per NFL practice squad rules, a player must be signed at least 6 days before his team's next game. So if the Eagles are signing this guy, it'll be done today. Also, he would have to be on the Eagles active roster for at least the next three weeks.
Yomjoseki was talking about this guy before the draft. MattRichWarren had the scoop.
