There were a few notable starters in tonight's game that may have given us a peek as to what the real depth chart looks like and who might make the 53 man roster.
First, Kelley Washington & Riley Cooper started at WR ahead of Hank Baskett. That Cooper got the start is no shock, he's clearly got a spot on the roster and should be the teams' 4th WR. Washington starting is telling and could mean than Hank has played his last game as Eagle. Again.
The starting safeties were Kurt Coleman and Macho Harris, which could be a signal that Quintin Demps has fallen out of favor. However, you could also interpret it as Andy Reid wanting to see more of Macho. For me, I think Kurt Coleman has clearly played himself onto this team. Not only did he have the two big fumble recoveries for TDs, but he was constantly around the ball and his tackling was fantastic.
Martell Mallet was the starting RB and has probably been the teams' best runner outside of LeSean McCoy this preseason. With Eldra Buckley doing a decent job as well and Arrington having the return ability, it will make picking that last RB tough.
