With the fourteenth pick in the 2010 BGN Draft, eagleswin selects...
C.J. Spiller - RB, Clemson
C.J. Spiller is hands down the best running back in this years draft. He fits a major need of the Seahawks because Julius Jones has not handled the starting job very well after being paid big money. Justin Forsett seemed to step into the spotlight after he started a couple of games last year, but in the NFL these days, teams that are successful have a 1-2 punch that can wear down defenses.
Spiller is 5’11 and weighs 195 lbs. He ran a speedy 4.37 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. He is extremely fast, with great vision, soft hands, and is very elusive and can make defenders miss. Spiller can be dangerous catching the ball also lining up as a slot receiver and uses his excellent quickness to get off the line of scrimmage. An interesting fact is that C.J. joins only Reggie Bush as only the two players to have 5,000 punt return, 2,500 rushing, 1,500 kick returning, and 1,000 receiving yards in a career. Best case is he could end up to be a Marshall Faulk, worst case is ending up to be a Reggie Bush, who hasn’t really fulfilled his potential yet. Bottom line is that C.J. is lacking some size but his running style makes up for that, with how quick his game speed is.
Next on the clock will be FreeBradshaw with the New York Giants.
