Remember way back to 6pm when Jeff McLane of the Inquirer reported that the Rams had a deal for Donovan McNabb on the table?
Well, according to Rams' Gm Bill Devany that report is "ridiculous." Actually he said "utterly ridiculous."
Per Bernie Miklasz of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Rams G.M. Billy Devaney says that report of a trade is "[a]bsolutely false" and "utterly ridiculous."
Howard Eskin of WIP echoes that report, citing an unnamed high-ranking Rams official who said that the Rams have never even spoken to the Eagles about McNabb.
Another reporter quoted the Rams GM as saying he's never spoken to the Eagles about "any of their players."
I'm not totally sure I buy that the Rams have never ever spoken to the Eagles anything, but I can't deny one thing... The whole damn thing is ridiculous! Plus, the way the Rams have denied this so vehemently makes me think that at least this particular story/offer isn't true.
Anyway, who says they have the next scoop? Bowen? Domo? Come on fellas, feed us!
