Buddy Ryan Actually In Favor Of NFL's Crackdown On Violent Hits - Four For Four - SB Nation Philly
The guy who once allegedly put bounties on the heads of players and whose teams might have been responsible for more injuries than any in NFL history is, amazingly enough, a fan of the NFL’s increased penalties for illegal hits.

Man Up: Asante gets best of Manning | Philly | 11/08/2010
I'm not sure we're properly appreciating the kind of season Samuel is having. The back-and-forth between Manning and Samuel was the most interesting part of re-watching the game today. Manning went after him on his first two pass attempts - an incompletion and an interception. He then stayed away from him for much of the game until the end. Overall, on throws in Samuel's direction, Manning was just 2-for-8 for 15 yards. On the final play, Samuel and Quintin Mikell switched places so Samuel could freelance and read Manning. He did just that, coming up with his second interception of the day.
A Children's Treasury Of Wade Phillips Looking Befuddled On The Sideline
If you're a believer in body language, the Wade Phillips era was doomed from the start. Here's a walk down memory lane of some of Wade's greatest hits: covering his face, looking forlorn, and generally looking befuddled on the sideline.

Asked if he'd give Garrett the freedom to do as he pleased with this roster the final eight games, Jones went into full stammering mode before blurting something about his not being able to "quantify" something like that. The one move that would truly change the culture at Valley Ranch is something Jones will never do, and that's for him to resign as general manager. As long as he's in charge of football decisions, it really doesn't matter who's serving as head coach. Jones will inevitably do something to undermine the process.

Week 9's five most valuable players - Shutdown Corner - NFL - Yahoo! Sports
Michael Vick, QB, Philadelphia Eagles. What have you heard as an explanation as to why Michael Vick's been able to perform so well this year? He's turned himself into a pocket passer and he's being smarter with the football than he was before his stretch in Leavenworth, right? All true, but that Vick's physical gifts haven't deteriorated is just as big a factor, and maybe more amazing. He launches a football in a way that a Jugs machine watches and says to itself, "Damn." Even on the same field with Peyton Manning(notes), Vick's frozen ropes stand out. The legs are still there, too. Vick still appears to be the fastest guy on the field when he takes off. It's amazing, but Vick is still the once-in-a-generation talent we thought he was when he went pro
