The Eagles may not have played this weekend, but they rose in a number of national power rankings anyway. The one major holdout was ESPN, that actually dropped the Eagles a spot during their bye.

Michael Vick takes over as the starter and now we'll see if he can make a playoff run. (Clayton)

That's more a description of a fact than a justification for the rank... but whaddya gonna do? FOX has the Eagles up a spot this week saying the bye will do them good.

Philadelphia is clearly one team that should benefit from having a bye at this point in the season. They should get at least three of their injured starters back for this week's game against visiting Colts

Real Clear Sports, who takes an average of nine major power rankings also has the Eagles up this week, from #14 to #12. NFL.com had the birds ranked lowest at #15 while CBS, ESPN, & Fanhouse had that highest at #12.

Obviously a win this week over the consensus #2 ranked Colts would cause some serious movement for both teams in next week's poll.
