The Eagles released their Friday injury report this afternoon and it's not pretty... That said, it's also not really surprising.
Michael Vick (rib), Asante Samuel (concussion) and Riley Cooper (concussion) have all been ruled out. LeSean McCoy is currently listed as questionable. McCoy did have full participation in Friday's practice, which is a very positive sign for his chances to play Sunday night.
The Eagles have more or less said Vick wouldn't play all week and while they haven't spoken about Samuel and Cooper as much, with having sustained concussions last week it was more or less fait accompli that they wouldn't be able to play this week. My guess is that even if they feel fine, the days of guys playing the week after they sustain a concussion are gone.
The concern with Cooper is simply that it leaves the team with just three healthy wide receivers on the roster. That probably doesn't make much of a difference in the offense if everyone stays healthy, but Cooper is one of the gunners of special teams. So that's an important role that will have to be filled as well. As we reported earlier, it looks like Chad Hall will be activated from the practice squad to take his place.
So the Eagles are headed on the road seriously depleted.
