The text messages arrive on Kevin Curtis' cell phone regularly. Where are you? Are you playing football? A half-dozen NFL teams have wondered the same thing and have tried to sign the seven-year veteran wide receiver. Curtis, a Utah native who starred for the Philadelphia Eagles before injuries sidelined him most of the last two seasons, has put off signing a free-agent deal this year. At first it was because of a lingering knee injury that didn't fully heal until recently, but then it became something else that he kept secret. Curtis has testicular cancer.
