Shipley elected to sign with the Eagles because he believed they offered him the best opportunity for playing time next season. He will study and work out with the team in the offseason and fight for a roster spot come training camp. "It looks like a better opportunity for me to go in there and compete," Shipley said. "I made a decision, and I'm really looking forward to it. Now I just have to take advantage of an opportunity if it presents itself."
