More on Vick's "special exemption"

On cutdown day, the Eagles placed Michael Vick on the commissioner's special exemption list. By doing so they avoided having to put him on the 53 man roster which allowed them to hold on to AJ Feeley.

This is not a long term solution. In fact, it's more likely to last only a few days.

While a player is on the commissioner's special exemption list, he can not practice with the team. Obviously not having Vick practicing at this point would be completely counterproductive and there's no way they go without him practicing for the next 2-3 weeks. So look for something to happen in the next couple of days that allows Vick to be taken off that list and put back on the practice field. Of course, that "something" will probably be the cutting or trading of A.J. Feeley.
