Andy Reid PC: Jeremiah Trotter's workout, Maclin to start?

In one of the more surprising moves of the season(of course this in a season where the Eagles signed Mike Vick...) the Eagles brought in 32 year old Jeremiah Trotter for a workout. Trotter has been out of football for a year and was last seen riding the bench for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Trotter, who is certainly one of the more beloved Eagles of the past decade, hasn't been offered a contract.... yet. Reid says he just wanted to see how he looked.

"We had a chance to work out Jeremiah yesterday and I just wanted to see where he was at," Reid said. "He had his knee taken care of after he left here, so I wanted to get him in here and see him move around a little bit, which I thought he did a good job with.

"I haven't made any decisions on it one way or another, I wanted to make sure that I had a pulse of where he was at."

As for players currently on the team... Kevin Curtis missed another practice with a sore knee and Reid said that if he can't go, rookie WR Jeremy Maclin would start in his place.

In other injury news, Desean Jackson returned to practice and will play. Brian Westbrook is questionable but "improving." McNabb is doubtful but making progress.
