The Linc - Vick will be a nightmare, but for who? (for what?)

Westbrook overlooked? | Philadelphia Inquirer | 08/19/2009
"I hope so. I hope they overlook me," he said. "I hope I can surprise them. I know that we have a lot of talented players on this team, [QB] Donovan McNabb, [WR] DeSean Jackson, [WR] Jason Avant, [WR] Hank Baskett, [WR] Reggie Brown, [WR] Kevin Curtis, [TE] Brent Celek. We have guys that defenses have to account for, so hopefully they are busy accounting for those guys and let me do my thing. In the recent past that hasn’t happened a lot, but I hope they forget about me a little bit."

Eagles' fielding a potent scout team --

When will Shawn Andrews return? - NFC East - ESPN
I think Shawn Andrews (back) will return in time to start the season at right tackle for the Eagles. How long can he remain in the lineup? Your guess is as good as mine. The thing that I've always heard about Andrews is that he spends a lot of time worrying about his post-career health. That's not the best mindset in the world for a guy who's supposed to spend the next five or six years playing in the NFL.

Monica Yant Kinney: Let ex-cons fly like Eagles | Philadelphia Inquirer | 08/19/2009
I'm delighted to hear the Philadelphia Eagles believe in giving ex-cons second chances. The city is home to 200,000 people with criminal records. When and where should they report for duty? - Philly Sports & Minutiae: Serenity Now
If there is one that I, speaking as a Philadelphia sports fan, have in short supply it is serenity. The word itself means little to me. It is a state of mind experienced elsewhere only.
