Eagles offensive assistant Mark Whipple, the guy assumed to be in line to take over as QB coach, is rumored to be a target of the Miami Hurricanes as their offensive coordinator.
Eagles offensive assistant Mark Whipple might soon be hired as the new offensive coordinator for the Miami Hurricanes, reports from Florida suggest.
Whipple also would seem to be a logical candidate for the Birds' quarterbacks coaching spot, which is vacant now that Pat Shurmur has become the offensive coordinator of the St. Louis Rams.
Whipple would have been in the news quite a bit this week had the Eagles defeated the Arizona Cardinals last weekend - he was Ben Roethlisberger's quarterbacks coach in Pittsburgh for 3 years, including their Super Bowl XL victory.
The question is whether Whipple would prefer to be an NFL QB coach or a college coordinator? If Whipple does leave, the Eagles will need to find a new guy to coach their QBs.
