The A's five World Series titles are the most championships by any team in Philly's history--and they left town in 1955. Just call the rest of the city's sports landscape "Bridesmaids 'R' Us." Since 1980, Philadelphia's four mainstays--the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers and Sixers, are a combined 1-for-10 in the finals
I don't see how Phoenix, which is made up mostly of transients and just won a world series recently, should be more miserable then us Philly lifers... I have to disagree with Forbes magazine here, I think we're more miserable than they give us credit for!
Also, I haven't checked their accounting of the numbers... but it wouldn't surprise me if like many people they forget to include that the Eagles have won 3 NFL titles.
