Week 16 early games open thread

Only one early game has serious playoff implications for the Eagles and that's San Diego visiting Tampa Bay. If the Chargers defeat a beat up Bucs squad, a win over the Redskins today will put the Eagles in control of their own destiny for a playoff spot.

There's also a huge game that just should be great to watch for fans of smashmouth football and good defense. The Steelers visit the Titans in a matchup that should determine the #1 overall seed in the AFC.

At 4pm the Falcons travel up to Minnesota for a touch game against the NFC North leading Vikings. A Falcon loss in that game combined with an Eagles win would also put the Eagles in charge of their own destiny. In fact, were the Falcons and Bucs to lose the Eagles could conceivably lose in week 17 and still have a shot at the postseason... but we don't want to be worrying abou that...

Then tonight it's the NFC version of Steelers v Titans. The free falling Giants host the red hot Panthers in a game that will determine the #1 seed in the NFC.
