Campin' - Eagles Training Camp notes 8.6.07

Camp goodness from from Flickr
I didn't do our normal "The Linc" which is a look around the Eagles/sports blogoshpere(and a chance to gawk at hot chicks in Eagles jerseys...) last week and probably won't do it this week either. With so much camp news pouring in from everywhere, it's just not needed. It will be back for the start of preseason however. Onto camp news!

John Nalbone lists his "bubble boys" that should be fearing for their job this offseason it was pretty much the same as mine. It's pretty easy to see who is on the hot seat. However, he did mention one name that I did not. Montae Reagor. He's sat out several practices with knee swelling and hasn't shown the Eagles what they were hoping for just yet. I doubt he's going anywhere. It's still very early on and don't  forget that he was paid a $2 million signing bonus. He isn't going to be cut in preseason.

McNabb was held out of practice today as a "precautionary measure." Tony Hunt ran with the first team and looked very good although there's talk that his upright running style is going to have to change a bit to make him tougher to tackle.

Shawn Andrews thinks Max Jean Gilles is going to be a force to be reckoned with. Also Buckhalter looks to be cementing his role as the primary backup to Westbrook.

Kevin Curtis has been impressing fans and teammates so far at this camp. He made a spectacular diving 50 yard grab from McNabb yesterday.

John Runyan got a couple days off to go the Hall of Fame induction of his friend and former teammate Bruce Matthews.

So far, so good with Kevin Kolb.

I'm not the only person that has been impressed by rookie TE Brent Celek. Marty Morninghweg has singled him out for praise as well.

Jason Avant and Hank Baskett are getting some sleep this year after having to stay up until 3am every night last year trying to figure out the west coast offense.
