Good news on LJ Smith; Runyan leaves practice

The Eagles say that LJ Smith did not re-aggravate the sports hernia injury.

The big news of the day was an update on L.J Smith. Head coach Andy Reid said Smith suffered a groin injury that was unrelated to his sports hernia, but was suffered in the same area. The seriousness was not elaborated on, and his condition will be closely looked at.

Also, Jon Runyan left practice with back tightness and the Eagles say it "doesn't sound too serious."

Update [2007-8-10 18:16:17 by BleedGreen]: Derek over at Iggles Blog says there's some good reasons to be skeptical about this LJ Smith diagnosis. I must admit, he makes a very good point.
