Camp News: McNabb struggling, Hunt impressing

Stefen Lovelace from the Delaware News Journal noted that McNabb has struggled with his accuracy in his first full practice.

Donovan McNabb went through an entire practice today and struggled with his passign accuracy as he works to get his timing back after having reconstructive knee surgery last November.

McNabb overthrew and underthrew several passes during the afternoon workout at Lehigh.

Suppose it's to be understood. We'll wait until at least day 2 of camp before we panic. Remember, McNabb isn't even sure if he'll be ready for the opener.

The Pocono Record reports that Tony Hunt has impressed coaches.

One rookie that has impressed Mornhinweg through mini-camps and the first three days of training camp at Lehigh University is Tony Hunt, a Penn State standout selected in the third round of April's draft.

"He's been pretty sharp and he's had excellent workouts," Mornhinweg said. "He's progressed real well and he's looking like he's earning some playing time here in the preseason."

With a solid camp and some nice preseason games Tony Hunt could very well play himself ahead of Correll Buckhalter on the depth chart. Frankly, I'd be just fine with that.

It's also with noting that LJ Smith did participate in practice today. He wore a red jersey so he wouldn't get hit and it's still unlikely that he'll be taking part in any contact drills for most of camp.
