The Eagles hosted both WR Kevin Curtis and LB/special teamer Ryan Fowler at the Novacare complex today and both guys met the media. Below are highlights from the press conferences.
Kevin Curtis
- He loves the Eagles fan base and was impressed with the organization. He wants to start.
- He will have an agent by tomorrow and will have a deal somwhere by Saturday or Sunday.
- He'd love to play in a scheme like the Eagles. He sat with Marty Morningwheg and thought he'd have a great role in the offense.
- Curtis sat with Andy today... Andy is in the house apparently, not "working from home."
- Very impressed by the facilities and stadium.
- All he wanted to hear was that he could compete for a starting LB job. The Eagles told him he could do that.
- Did not sound like he wanted to be in Dallas anymore. He said it does not look like he'll have a chance to start there anytime soon and said he hoped someone would make him an offer and Dallas would not match it.
- Said the fundamentals for a middle LB are the same in a 3-4 and a 4-3. In a 3-4 you face more unblocked guards, in a 4-3 the middle LB is more protected.
- Said even if he doesn't win the starting job they can depend on him to be a solid special teams contributor.
- He feels good about the coaches, fans, and area... but admits he's not in a situation where he can be picky.
