I'm just going to keep adding to this diary as news of the Eagles bringing in players for private workouts/meetings comes in. Keep checking back because I'll also regularly fill in some scouting reports for these guys.
Kent State CB Usama Young
The Eagles hade a private workout with Kent State CB Usama Young. He's a blazingly fast corner who runs a 4.36 40, one of the fastest in the nation this year and had the second highest vertical jump at 43". Pretty impressive physical tools. His shuttle run at his pro day would have topped all defensive backs at the NFL combine. He has obviously very impressive physical tools and is being projected as a 3rd or 4th rounder(The Eagles have no 4th rounder this year).
California LB Desmond Bishop
California LB Desmond Bishop will visit the Eagles for a one on one meeting. Bishop is an inside linebacker who is not terribly big and he's slow. He'd probably be a mid round pick.
Central Missouri State QB Toby Korrodi
The Eagles are also going to have a private workout with Central Missouri State QB Toby Korrodi. He's a big guy(6-4 234 ), with a powerful arm who had a very impressive combine that has shot his stock up.
Delaware TE Ben Patrick
Has adequate size and bulk...Smooth athlete who moves like a wideout...He has terrific hands and will make the spectacular grab...Can do some damage after the catch...Shows great ball skills...Versatile and can be used in a number of different ways...Runs good routes and knows how to get open...He gives great effort as a blocker and excels in space...Smart...Appears to possess exceptional intangibles.Lane College WR Jacoby Jones
Strengths: Has good size and the frame to get bigger...A smooth natural athlete...Very good timed speed and terrific quickness...An outstanding leaper who will high point the ball...Good vision in the open field and is elusive after the catch...Explosive off the snap and eats up a cushion...Vertical threat who can stretch the field...Productive and stood out at the Division II level...Will be able to contribute as a return man.Weaknesses: Did not play against elite competition...Does not have real big hands...Will drop some balls...Is not very physical and won't work over the middle much...Doesn't run great routes...Needs to display better concentration...Still very raw and will need a lot of work when it comes to the nuances of the position...Needs to bulk up and get stronger...Sub par blocker...Takes too many chances as a return man.
Purdue DL Anthony Spencer Strengths: An excellent athlete with great speed...Playmaker who is very active with a great motor and always around the action...Versatile and has experience dropping into coverage...Natural pass rusher with a knack for getting after the quarterback and making plays in the backfield...Extremely productive...A good technician who plays with solid leverage...Relatively stout against the run for his size...Experienced and battle tested...Good range with a burst to close fast...Very instinctive and smart. Weaknesses: Is undersized and doesn't have either the height or bulk you look for...A 'tweener who might not have a true pro position...Not very explosive and needs to develop a wider array of pass rush moves...Struggles to shed blocks and can be engulfed by massive offensive linemen...Agility and change of direction skills are question marks...Will he be able to handle coverage?...Might have to learn a new position. Central Connecticut State RB Justise HairstonThe 6-1, 223 lb Hairston ran a 4.45 40-yard dash between 4.45 and 4.47 seconds at a private workout with the Eagles Thursday, March 15.
Western Oregon TE Kevin Boss
The 6'6, 255 lb Boss apparently wowed the Eagles at his pro day. G Cobb did a good writeup on him.
Towson OT Jermon Bushrod
Writeup by Small School NFL Draft Prospects
Texas DE Brian Robison
