Is something going to happen?

It's been an odd week. Thursday as crept up on us very fast and some things we've been expecting to happen haven't yet materialized. Kevin Curtis was supposed to have made a decision as to where he's palying next year already... In fact, the Detriot Lions have reportedly grown so tired of Curtis' indecision that they've stopped negotiating with him. The rumor seem sto be the Titans are the frontrunners for Curtis.

The Eagles have said they'll bring in a backup running back and reports have that as happening by the end of this week. Well, the end of the week is just about here and there's been no word. Reports are that Ron Dayne will be in Philly today and Chris Brown could follow soon after. The Eagles are still supposedly talking with Corey Dillon.

Finally, on some draft news... The Eagles hade a private workout with Kent State CB Usama Young. He's a blazingly fast corner who runs a 4.36 40, one of the fastest in the nation this year and had the second highest vertical jump at 43". Pretty impressive physical tools. His shuttle run at his pro day would have topped all defensive backs at the NFL combine. He has obviously very impressive physical tools and is being projected as a 3rd or 4th rounder(The Eagles have no 4th rounder this year).

California LB Desmond Bishop will visit the Eagles for a one on one meeting. Bishop is an inside linebacker who is not terribly big and he's slow. He'd probably be a mid round pick.
