LJ Smith is feeling good

Could it be that our long national nightmare is over?

L.J. Smith says he is confident that his groin injury is finally healing.

"I felt real good at the end of practice," the Eagles tight end said yesterday. "It was very positive mentally. I came out, [went to meetings], and still feel good. I expect to go full speed again tomorrow."

"I hope the back-and-forth of me playing and then not playing, and then playing 20 plays when I do play, I hope it's done, but nothing is guaranteed," Smith said.

"I'm going to keep getting treatment even though I don't feel bad at all. I'm going to keep on top of this. I feel a lot better than I did this time last week. I think the rest and treatment really helped me out a lot."

This does appear to be the first time he's fully practiced and we haven't heard about inflammation or soreness. Good news for sure, we could use all the help we can get...
