The good news is that CB Lito Sheppard who has already missed 4 games over the past 5 weeks did fully participate in practice and the Eagles seem to be indicating that he will return to the lineup this Sunday.
S Brian Dawkins did not practice. Andy Reid said that he has been able to work on conditioning, but they aren't ready to let him start hitting yet. As I said in the previous post, if Dawkins were to be ready to go this weekend it could free up Quintin Mikell to return to special teams which would be a boost against a guy like Devin Hester. At this point, it looks unlikely Dawk will be back.
TE LJ Smith also did not practice, although the Eagles claim that it's not a setback in his recovery. Andy explained, "Right now, he's sore. We've got to let that thing calm down and see how he does here in the next couple days." Frankly, it's hard for me to see how this isn't a setback. Supposedly the second surgery LJ had was supposed to relieve the swelling and soreness... This will be an interesting one to keep an eye on.
