Lets Talk about Westy's 30 mil

What would happen if we ended up giving westbrook his 30 mil but streached it out over 4 or 5 years with X amount of bonuses?

The Bonuses would hopfuly keep him happy and willing to play over those next 2 years. Yeah we will pay now but we never pay our players what they are worth and we always have alot of cap room so why not use it on the best weapon in football. i understand where 30 mil could be alot, and we want to pervent what happend with shawn Alexander but they are 2 different players. (lets face it Shawn Aexander was never a tough player willing to take a hit) And to top all this off we will end up with a happy Westbrook who keeps getting better every year. I hounestly belive our chnces of winning it all would o way down without Westbrook.

Can't this all be possible?

Will this really hurt us that much? (how much)

Would you guys be willing to do something like this?

LETS TALK and more importantly have a healthy debate like "Shot Glass" was oh so capable of doing.

Food for Thought

Micheal Strahan has been debating weather to return or not, now out of the blew he decides to ask for a new $8 million contract for this year to return. i am convinced at this point all he wants is money he does not care about the team he is all about him self and now with a superbowl ring he wants money or not to play. with this being said i feel that if he feels he can get the money elsewhere the giants would let him go since thay have so much yound tallent. if that does happen would you want him? he would no doubt help this D and we do have the money. would you want his problems and bagedge. he would fit really nice opposit from cole and i belive he would  make this deffence unstoppable.

Do you think he is worth our while?

P.S i dont think this is likely i am just saying its "food for thought"

Day 1 Must Read

i was thinking abit after the draft an i cam to a suprising conclution. at the end of the day we came away with

a high first round pick next year

2 extra 4th rounds (minnesota and caralina)

a solid DT

a Back-up RB

a great return man  who is a decent reciver

All we really gave up was

our 1st (to caralina for their 2nd 4th and 2009's 1st)

our 2nd

our 4th(for Booker)

our 5th (part of the package deal so minnesota can move up)

Madden 09 cover

i dont know if anyone really cars but EA just anounced who will be on the cover of Madden 09. the "lucky"    "player" is Brett Farve. Now with someone who is retiered on the cover i guess this means that the Madden Curse (if yuou belive in it) will be broken.  this isnt, however the first time Brett Farve has been on the title of a video game. if i am remembering corectly he was on the cover of NFL QB Clun 1998.

Eagles Made Offer For Chiefs Jared Allen

Written by Garry Cobb
Bob Grotz of DelcoTimes.com says the Birds made an offer for Jared Allen of the Chiefs.
According to Grotz the Birds offered the Chiefs Lito Sheppard and a pick.  The Birds would have to work out a huge contract for Allen.

This adds to the aggressiveness of the Eagles this off-season.  This isn't the same type of attitufe they 've had over the years.  They are so much more aggressive.

i wouldnt mind him how abou you? the only thing is if this trade happenes i think it would but a possible williams trade.

Lets Have Fun with the draft Value Chart

ok so if you are not familure with the draft value chart it is a chart that gives a value to each pick in the 7 rounds. the chart can be found here http://www.theredzone.org/2006/draft/draftvaluechart.asp

I'm proposing that we  play with this chart and see where the eagles can move too.

for the sake of argument I'm am saying we can reasonably trade player to teams that need them. for instance I feel we could get the jets second round pick for lito which carries a value of 530 points.

an other thing is lets assume that lito won't be let go for less then a second rounder.

and finaly remember that the pats lost their first round pick so everyting from the 32nd pick on is moved up one pick.

P.S I'm on a PDA and can't find the eagles draft pick numbers. if someone can post those it woukd make this easyer.

Thanks and lets have fun

HELP ME PLEASE

as it turns out I have to do some work at my church on draft day, and most likely won't even have time to keep updated. I was wondering if any body knew if there is a place where I can get texted pick by pick updates? or if there is anybody willing to txt me updates? I know that's a lot to ask but I don't want to miss this draft.

Thanks

a thought that could change draft day.

OK we looked at players trades and everything and anything that has to do with the draft right? WRONG! we never really examind other teams situations and how they affect us. so I want to see what you guys have to say.

I'm going to start ouy with the bears.I really don't know where they draft but I see that they could either help us or hurt us.
this is why lot of their basic needs are the same as ours. but on the other hand they need a lot and I mean a lot. so much so that they really can't help themselves with just 7 picks. this as we all know is a draft loaded with talent and the beaes need as much of it as they can get. what I amsaying here is packeging up some picks and trading them for a high pick to the bears is possible and smart for both teams.
