Dan Klecko visits the Eagles

Donovan McNabb called for playmakers? Well, how about this one?

NFL Network's Adam Schefter is reporting that DT/FB Dan Klecko visited the Eagles today. Klecko is a local guy who born in Colts Neck, NJ and went to college at Temple. He also has 3 superbowl rings(Pats x2, Colts). His father is former Jets great Joe Klecko.

The Eagles definitely are in need of depth at the DT spot, so it makes sense that they'd be interested in bringing in Klecko for a look.

Klecko is most famous for catching the game tying TD in the 2006 AFC Championship game where his Colts beat the Patriots(his former team) en route to a superbowl title.

Question
The DT/FB thing was sort of a joke because of the famous td right?... the birds wouldnt actually look for him to run in the o set... I guess he would be more effective than that nick Cole expirament
Its a new season!

Oddly enough
Schefter says that the Eagles see him as a full back... Click the link, you tell me if you think he was joking. I really don't know.

Plus, he played a LOT of fullback for the Patriots.

Actually
He's a DT, but....  He played fullback in goal-line formations when he was with the Patriots!

Strange
It wasn't reported at all on the website. I mean I know Klecko's not a big name, but still. And as fullback? He's gotta outweigh the average fullback by about 50 pounds right?

You see
I would have no problem with this ... we could use the help at DT Reagor and Von Oelhoffen are probably not going to be back.  Mike Patterson is hangin out with Ricky Running Williams and we could use a seasoned Vet.  Plus having that big body in there on short yardage could really help not only in the running game but disquising the play action pass.

why not use him at both posistions/
we dont use FB that much anyway. why not kill two birds with one stone?
