Could she play safety?
A theory that may put the Eagles in the superbowl this year? (Iggles Blog)

For my money Tecmo Bowl is sill the greatest football video game ever... but I admit I never used the Eagles. (Eagles Chronicles)

Milwaukee Brewers slugger Kevin Munch now now writes his own Eagles blog over at the Eagles website. They actually have had a few "celebrity" blogs over there. Playmates, pro wrestlers, music industry insiders ect... (Philadelphia Eagles.com)

The Philles are actually... good? Two games out first?! (700 Level)

Bored by this year's NBA Finals? Check out some more exciting video! (Depressed Fan)

Will Winston Justice ever play? Also is there an unlimited amount of puns to use in headlines with "Justice" in them? (Philly.com)

A bit of a developing story, but many Eagles fans are fuming about the Eagles refusal to publish a season ticket waiting list. Apparently many fans have been promised one for over a year now. Fans want to know why they can never get tix, but online scalpers like Razorgator get thousands from the team. (Concrete Field)

According to one blogger, it's seems that no Eagles have illegitimate kids. Seemed appropriate with fathers day around the corner... (100% Injury Rate)

Some fun debate on the top sports movies of all time. What? The Garbage Picking Field Goal Kicking Philadelphia Phenomenon didn't make anyone's list? (The Big Lead)

Sports Illustrated published a list of the top 10 most likely comeback candidates and Takeo Spikes made the list at #5. Jevon Kearse came in at #10 (Sports Illustrated)

SBN unveiled a new blog this week covering the Baltimore Ravens. Hey it gives us someone to talk to before our annual preseason get together ever years! (Baltimore Beatdown)

In other SBN news, the ongoing NFL small market roundtable series is rolling along. This week, media coverage. (Music City Miracles)

Finally Stampede Blue Is still all over the continuing blatant Patriots bias over at the worldwide leader. (Stampede Blue)

Movies
In no particular order, but fairly close to how I'd put them 1-10:

Slap Shot, Rocky, The Natural, Friday Night Lights, Invincible, Eight Men Out, Caddyshack, Jerry Maguire, Bull Durham, Hoosiers

Anyone who hasn't seen Slap Shot needs to find it and watch it this weekend.  One of the funniest movies ever.

Good list...
Mine looks like this.
1a. Rocky, 1b. Raging Bull, 3. Caddyshack , 4. Slap Shot, 5. Kingpin, 6. Charriots of Fire, 7. Hoosiers, 8. The Hustler,  9. Bull Durham 10. Invinsible

D2!
I wondered how Mighty Ducks 2 wasn't on anyone's list?

Illegitimate Kids
Buckhalter has a supposed kid in Nebraska, complete with a child-support payment suit he lost.  Or maybe he's just the potential daddy with the most jing.

I noticed he wasn't on there
He does apparently have a DNA test that proves he's not the father... that's a very odd situation.

YEah
That's why I posted it. I think it's a serious issue that doesn't get enough exposure. It's a real problem.

The other side of the coin.
I don't mean to disagree with you guys at all, because both the lack of an organized waiting list and the whole Razorgator thing are both bullcrap, but I do want to look on the bright side of this for a second.

In a way, I'm thankful that the team has these problems -- because these are the problems of a good team.  I could phone in an order for tickets the week of a game, and probably even walk right up to the Vet on gameday in '99 and get tickets.  The team sucked, and there just wasn't the demand that there is today.

I've had longstanding plans to go to Baltimore Inner Harbor on Saturday, going to an Orioles at the end of the day.  I'm so frustrated with the Orioles, for whom finding painful ways of blowing games has become an art form and losing seasons the norm, that I'm debating whether I want to spend $20 on two Orioles tickets, or find another way to spend the evening.  And, since I know every other Orioles fan feels the same, the idea of buying tickets in advance has never even crossed my mind, because I know I can walk up, get great seats in a gorgeous ballpark and probably be one of 20,000 or less people there -- and that's being generous.

I know I can't directly compare the demand for baseball tickets compared to the NFL -- but if Peter Angelos tried to sell O's tickets on Razorgator, they'd laugh in his face.  We have these problems because the team's been so consistently good.

Come on Eagles, win a superbowl and you can screw us worse next year, and we'll be happy about it!

Sorry, slow day at work...

this is a bit random...
but does anyone think 5 looks slimmed down a bit from last year? I thought about it while looking through the pics in the eagles site today...

I suppose
That's to be expected after the injury. At least he didn't gain alot of fat.

Frankly, I've also thought McNabb gets himself a bit too muscled. I've been told by fitness freaks that getting as bulky as McNabb does sometimes can sometimes make it easier to get hurt.

totally agree...
I miss the mcnabb that you see in the highlight video juking the redskins players for a 40 yrd td. Look at trotter... he's dropping weight because he says it will save his knees and maybe add a couple years to his career

Where do you find
the pictures of these smokin Eagles fans.  But more importantly... where do you meet them?

by brooksy on Jun 14, 2007 3:10 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

It's easy
He lures them into his house by saying he's got Eagles tickets at face value.

It's an absolute sin...
that Bad News Bears wasn't on that list. Number 1 on mine. King Pin is up there too.
