Ugh. Darwin Walker could come back; Dawkins meets Spawn

Somehow I don't think Darwin would be welcomed back with open arms.

If recently acquired defensive tackle Darwin Walker doesn't report to Bills training camp by Aug. 5, he will be traded back to Philadelphia for a 2008 sixth-round pick, NFL Network's Adam Schefter reported Friday.

According to Schefter, Buffalo included the clause in the original trade that brought Walker and a 2008 seventh-round pick to Buffalo in exchange for Takeo Spikes and Kelly Holcomb, because they knew Walker was unsatisfied with his current contract.

The Eagles have no use or no room for Walker and I would imagine they would not be happy to take him back. They certainly wouldn't be interested in giving him a new deal.

This is pretty cool. Todd McFarlane, of Spawn fame, has designed a series of 3 Eagles figurines for Toys R Us.

The Philadelphia Eagles 3-pack includes Donovan McNabb 2, Brian Dawkins, and Brian Westbrook. The three figures will be painted in the Eagles' three different jerseys (green, white and black) making two of the figures available in jersey combinations never offered before.

I doubt that Darwin walks out of Buffalo, knowing that. Worst comes to worst, he comes to Philly owning a baaaaad rep, and realizes he has to work his ass off, so signs a 1 year incentive laden deal, plays however he plays, and then pushes for a deal in free agency (which would reward him handsomly even now).

Don't fret yet

The deadline for his reporting to training camp is August 5. Still well over 2 months for him to get a new deal in Buffalo.

Of course, there is the small problem that I don't think we'll actually give him a new deal...

Spawn figures

I find this funny:

Staubach, Aikman, and....Romo? How could leave out Anthony Wright, Quincy Carter, Chad Hutchinson, Vinny Testeverde, Drew Henson, Clint Stoener and Drew Bledsoe?

I bet Walker comes back...

and then gets cut.

He wants a new deal, the Bills aren't going to give it to him, and the Eagles definitely aren't going to give it to him. He'll be a free agent before he even gets a locker, unless he severely changes his tune.

Basically, the Eagles get Spikes and Holcolmb for sixth and seventh round picks in next year's draft. I guess I can live with that.

Walker gets to go to someone's camp completely out of shape in August.
