That said, when you're relegated to special teams and you take dumb penalties you're asking to get cut. What's more worrisome is that he was a second round pick. To cut him 2 years after you pick him is a real disaster. Does not reflect well on whoever made the call on this pick..

Matt McCoy's been released (making issues of his playing time academic), and Akeem Jordan promoted from the practice squad.

While I understand the discipline issue being made here, I'm kind of surprised that Pago Togafau is being valued higher than McCoy, and that McCoy wasn't simply benched as punishment.

Big Red must be really steamed about the deluge of penalties this year.
