The Philadelphia Eagles practiced again on Tuesday afternoon. Here are some updates on the team's injury situation as they prepare to take on the Green Bay Packers in a preseason game this Saturday evening at 8:00 p.m. ET.
NOT PRACTICING
Players who did not practice: Zach Ertz (groin), Marcus Smith (hamstring), DeMeco Ryans (Achilles), Fletcher Cox (resting), Josh Huff (personal reasons).
Before practice, defensive coordinator Bill Davis said he's unsure if Ryans will be 100% by the time the team's season opener takes place on Monday, Sept. 14. Ryans is still making his way back from a torn Achilles suffered during the 2014 season. After practice, Ryans said he expects to be 100% for the opener but still has a ways to go. One would think Ryans figures to be the top backup behind Kiko Alonso and Mychal Kendricks but he might also get some regular playing time if/when healthy.
Cox told several media members he'll return to practice on Wednesday.
Ertz told ESP he feels a lot better after having surgery.
PRACTICING
Rasheed Bailey and Beau Allen returned to practice after sitting out on Monday.
