The Philadelphia Eagles made a few minor roster moves, according to an official release from the team.
First, Philadelphia waived/injured nose tackle Wade Keliikipi. The move does not come as a surprise. Keliikipi suffered a Lisfranc injury during the Eagles-Ravens game and will be out for four to six weeks. He was seen today at the Eagles' facility wearing a boot.
Keliikipi originally signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent following the 2014 NFL Draft. The former Oregon Ducks defensive lineman spent the entire 2014 season on Philadelphia's practice squad. He was the third nose tackle under team control behind starter Bennie Logan and backup Beau Allen.
The Eagles cleared up a roster spot by waiving Keliikipi. With him gone, the team has decided to claim former Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Jeremy Towns off waivers. The 26-year-old Towns measures in at 6-4, 291 pounds. Towns originally signed with Washington as an undrafted free agent following the 2014 NFL Draft.
Towns gives the Eagles another body for training camp.
